How Vinnova and TecnoVid operate
Vinnova and Tecnovid have been incorporated as stock corporations that
function as follows:
• They identify the needs for innovation in the industry, conduct
and manage research by research teams in conjunction with winery executives.
• They conduct research throughout the entire chain of value, from elaboration to commercialization.
• They transfer the results of the research and facilitate adoption of those results by the industry.
• They commercialize the results of research that produces products
and/or services.
The Consortiums are certified as research centers from which tax benefits
can be obtained.
The Consortiums employ a permanent staff of 7 officers, managed by a Managing
Director. They will administrate the projects and coordinate wineries
and researchers. They have asked each winery about their specific interest
in working directly on a project. They will set up support committees
with the group of wineries interested and the research team for each project.
These winery/researcher committees will track the development of a project
and plan the following stages. Once a year, the Consortiums will hold
a seminar and transfer workshops where the work with the support committees
will be presented.
